  • 1993 Did  self-employed research work  to stop computer virus programs on the Microsoft operating system, After detailed proposals to IDA, got offered grants from both IDA (the Industrial Development Authority) and Coras Trachtala, (Irish Board of Trade). Lack of interest in the commercial sector to participate with funding didn't allow the work to proceed. The project was abandoned.

I987..1992

  • In 1992 did a month's  contract programming  for SPC production of sparkplugs, writing in Pascal for an engineering company Gendeal at Heathrow Airport Industrial Estate.
  • 1988 Required to join PHOTRAX UK LTD of Chippenham and Slough as a  software engineer  (purely on experience and recommendations) working with C in Chippenham, writing PCB related programs. Later moved to Cork and became their Irish agent . Writing programs to interface between Computer-Aided-Design programs for the printed-circuit-board industry. Their unexpected change of directorate left the software-conversion aspect derelict and they then only concentrated simply on PCB design and printing (on which they were making more money from) only from their English office. They revoked the contract without notice summarily,, as they went out of software, making me unemployed.
